The UK-flagged tanker Stena Impero was seized by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on Friday as it passed through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital regional shipping channel. The Iranian government accused it of violating „international maritime rules“ but the UK government says it was illegally commandeered while in Omani waters.
