Volkswgaen has reportedly reserved 8,000 parking spots at the not-yet-operational airport as well as space for more cars at other locations across Germany for brand new cars that are awaiting new emissions certification. Car manufacturers must meet a new emissions trsting procedure called WLTP that is designed to more accurately measure the emissions of cars under real driving conditions and that goes into effect on September 1.
